Instead of drives, gravity conveyors use — you guessed it — gravity to move product. These systems generally come in roller and skate wheel types. Gravity conveyor is both versatile and cost-effective and provides solutions for light to medium loads, and heavy loads.
We carry used gravity conveyors of all types, including roller conveyor, skatewheel, pallet gravity, curves, spurs, stands and more.
Some of the brands in our used selection include:
We have plenty of used, ready-to-install gravity conveyors in all different types and conditions. If you are looking for a specific brand or type and don’t see it listed, please contact us either by phone or email. We may have it — if we don’t, we’ll do everything in our power to find it for you. Gravity conveyors work well with a variety of materials from flat bottomed boxes to uneven pallets, drums and more. When it comes to overall load capacity, though, you’ll need to consider a few factors. Changes in roller size, spacing and width between the frame all play a role in determining the overall capacity of a conveyor. Typically, you can expect an average load capacity of around 3,000 lbs.
Here are some things to consider when choosing your gravity conveyor:
Developing custom installations for your facility’s layout is easy to accomplish with gravity conveyors. Using different lengths of conveyor and curved segments means fitting to even the most difficult warehouse environments is possible. Additional design choices like pitch and the choice between roller or skate wheel styles can help meet demands for different load requirements and material types. If you’re considering a custom installation, we can help with facility design and layout.
Gravity conveyor is generally measured OAW (overall width, which is outside frame to outside frame) by the length of the conveyor.
No. As the name implies, gravity conveyors leverage gravity to move products from one area to another. The mechanical roller wheels mean you won’t need an electrical hookup to operate this piece of equipment.
While all gravity conveyors will use gravity instead of electrical power, you’ll find several different types of conveyors on the market. You can find flexible conveyors built for portability or gravity roller conveyor systems made for permanent installation on your warehouse floor.
Without gravity, gravity conveyors won’t work. To ensure you have the momentum to move product, always abide by manufacturer recommendations for the angle of decline. Generally speaking, though, the minimum angle of decline is around 5 degrees.
From industrial shelving to warehouse mezzanines, we carry whatever you need to keep your facility floor organized and ready for the workday.
