About Us

A Family-Operated Material Handling Solutions Provider

At East Coast Storage Equipment, we know material handling. You might say it is in our genes. We are a family-owned company. Our knowledge comes from hands-on experience, hard work and developing strong relationships based upon trust and quality products.

Our story began before we officially opened the doors in 1994. Company leaders John Geddes and Javier Ramirez got their start by installing pallet racks after John was exposed to the industry by his uncle, Rich. The material handling business appealed to John and Javier. They jumped in head first, learning every aspect of material handling. This knowledge and hard work created the opportunity for a new business and success.

East Coast Storage Equipment officially opened for business in 1994. The first products we sold were used storage racks and industrial shelving. Today, our expertise includes racking, mezzanines, flow equipment, complex conveyor systems and other used material handling systems.

In addition, we also offer value-added services that include:

  • Equipment tear down, relocation and installation
  • Facility design and layout services (including CAD drawings)
  • Certified structural analysis (performed by licensed engineers to meet permit application requirements)

Today, the family-owned company has grown, covering (as its name implies) the east coast of the United States and beyond (nationwide), delivering quality used material handling equipment. The corporate office is located in Brick, NJ with a warehouse facility in Browns Mills, NJ.

The passion and love for the industry ignited by the company’s founders continues to burn. Second-generation family members Paul and Sydney stepped in to provide direction in business development and accounting. Meanwhile, younger brother Coby is learning the business by working on project installations.

Family, material handling and relationships—these key ingredients for success drive us at East Coast Storage Equipment. We look forward to helping with your next project. Contact us today!
