East Coast Storage Equipment has a wide variety and various sizes of new and used industrial shelving systems for sale, including:
- New and used industrial shelving
- New and used gondola shelving / retail shelving
A variety of shelving systems can be used in an industrial or commercial setting, including steel shelving, wire shelving, rivet shelving or wide-span shelving.
Steel shelving systems are widely used for small product and carton storage with moderate picking requirements. They can be configured as basic floor units or as high rise systems with order pickers.
Steel shelving is adjustable, versatile and highly durable. Shelving units can be open or closed. Open shelving units have no backs or sides and use sway bracing for support. They are commonly used for bulk storage. Closed shelving units have solid backs and side supports.
Steel shelving systems may be assembled with bolts or clips. Shelf sizes vary, including widths of 24″, 30″, 36″, 42″ and 48″ and depths of 12″, 15″, 18″, 24″, 30″, 32″ and 36″. Shelf accessories, such as dividers, drawers and bins, make the units more versatile.
Wire shelving is also available for shelving systems. Some of the benefits of wire shelving include less dust accumulation, improved air circulation and increased visibility of products. Shelves can be adjusted in 1 inch increments.
Rivet shelving is boltless and clipless, so it is easy to assemble. It has a steel frame that allows for shelves to be adjusted in 1.5 inch increments. Single rivet light duty, double rivet medium duty and C channel heavy duty frames are available, along with particle board or wire shelves. Depending on the type of frame and shelf used, the capacity of rivet shelving may be as high as 1,500 lbs.
Wide span shelving features longer, deeper shelves – up to 96” wide and 54” deep. This type of shelving unit is good for storing large, heavier items or cartons, such as in a warehouse or factory. The capacity of wide span shelving is typically up to 2,000 lbs. per shelf.
